Cinco de Mayo Block Party at Oxford Feed and Lumber
This year we are excited to host our very first Cinco-de-Mayo Block Party First Friday at Oxford Feed and Lumber on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 5:00-8:00pm.
We are going to be celebrating the Mexican Army’s victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla with good food, community, Mariachi music, and fun! This free event begins at 5:00pm and ends at 8:00pm. Come hungry! There will be food trucks at this event, but don’t forget to stop by Taquiera Los Juarez to grab some delicious Mexican food and a margarita!
We’d love to have you join us as a vendor! Because this event takes place in a smaller area than our traditional First Fridays, we will be accepting a limited number of vendors. Please sign up using the form below!

First Fridays are family-friendly events to bring and support a vibrant community. Our Merchants, staff and volunteers have worked very hard in staging this once monthly event. With this in mind, please help us in creating a welcoming and safe environment for all by following these rules:
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Absolutely no drop offs.
- No bike riding, skateboarding, roller blading or using a scooter during First Friday.
- Please be respectful of our downtown merchants: do not bang on the windows, run in stores, leave trash or act disrespectfully. Our Merchants are the backbone of our downtown and have worked hard to build and grow their businesses.
- Any pets are to be leashed and attended to at all times. You are responsible for all pet waste.
- We will not tolerate foul language, hate speech, discrimination, or any other kinds of negative behavior.
- No horseplay, roughhousing, loitering in the parking garage, or playing sports (throwing/kicking balls) in the streets.
- Use the trashcans provided. Our Downtown is beautiful; let’s keep it that way.
